Partnership Renewal

Read your Partnership Covenant. Make sure to start with prayer to prepare your heart and mind as you respond to these questions. Read over each tenet slowly and prayerfully. This is between you and the Lord, but if you need encouragement, prayer support, or just a sounding board, please reach out to your IC Leader or one of your pastors.

Evaluate: Take your time in answering the questions below. Remember, this is not a pass or fail evaluation. Typically, even on the road of spiritual maturation, we all have some areas of growth and some areas of struggle. Our hope is that this is simply a time to reflect and evaluate where you are and to set some goals about how God might be asking you to grow. Renewing your covenant means you are reaffirming the oversight of your discipleship to the others partners of The Pathway. Again, if you have questions at all about what that means for you specifically, please know that your IC Leaders and/or Pastor Bobby would love to sit down and talk with you anytime.

Reflect

1. What has your involvement with your Intentional Community looked like this year? How have you been helped and how have you contributed?

2. What has your involvement with our Sunday gathering looked like this year? How have you been encouraged and how have you contributed?

3. What does your time reading the Bible look like? Describe your prayer life. How are you growing in intimacy with and worship of Jesus?

4. How committed have you been to pursuing a life worthy of being described as a member of the body of Christ? This includes but is not limited to: obedience to the teachings of Jesus & the Scriptures, unity with other members of the body, grace towards others and honesty when you mess up, trusting Jesus to forgive and restore.

5. How committed have you been to giving financially to the work and ministry of The Pathway? Have you successfully committed to give monthly at a minimum, starting with something, working towards a tithe (10% of your income) and pursuing extreme generosity?

6. How committed have you been to submitting to the pastoral leadership of the church, starting with the senior pastor Jesus Christ and including counsel, accountability and spiritual discipline from church leadership (pastors & IC Leaders)?

7. What has it looked like for you to be a missionary for the gospel in your family, your neighborhood, your sphere of influence and alongside your church this year? Have you been able to verbally proclaim the gospel to anyone this year? If so, please share an example. If not, what has stood in your way?

Set Goals

Spend some time in prayer about your commitment over the past year. What are 2-3 goals that you would like to achieve in the next year?

Examples:
Increase my monthly giving from 5% to 8%.
Start reading the bible 20 minutes a day, 5 times a week.

Thank you for taking the time to renew your partnership covenant with The Pathway church. This process is not required, but we request and strongly encourage you to complete it annually. It should take 30-60 minutes, so please wait until you have time to sit down and go through it without interruption. We believe it will be beneficial to you personally, but it is also an incredible help to your pastors as they pray for you regularly and seek to shepherd you well.
